This is the final blog post.
For all of those who have followed us on this journey,
we hope you have enjoyed some of the places and pictures.
THANK YOU for traveling with us!

Oct 12 Muttenz and Wartenburg

After returning the leased car (Dacia Duster) to the Renault dealership in Basel, we picked up a (one way) rental car to drive to the Zurich airport the next day. We then drove to Muttenz and exchanged our remaining Swiss Francs and Euros for US dollars. There is an old castle ruin on a hill overlooking Muttenz. This old ruin was visible from our apartment when we lived in Basel in 1982-83. We drove the car to a parking point 1/2 mile away and walked to the ruin.

A view in Muttenz altstadt.

Approaching the (north) castle ruin that overlooks Muttenz.
There are 3 parts, a northern, middle,
and southern ruin each about 1/8 mile apart.

Oct 11 Aarau and Brugg

Aarau and Brugg are 25 miles south of the Rhine in Switzerland. Both have Medievel altstadts. The day was overcast with some spits of rain. Some views.

Gate to Aarau altstadt.

I guess this is what happens when you park in
someones private parking spot.
