July 14 Laufenburg Germany

Laufenburg Germany, a little history:
1207 First mentioned in official record
1315 Laufenburg becomes a chartered Austrian town
1802 Napoleon devided the town in two (north and south sides of Rhine)
Population today: 3,200 on the Swiss side and 8,500 on the German side
The Rhine river normally flows at about 140,000 cubic feet of water per second. Currently, it is swollen some from recent rains.

Filled car with gasoline for 1.339 Euro per liter ($5.62 per gallon).
Found an Aldi's store which had prices on food comparable to USA.
